Currently based in America, this organisation is relied on by 19 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies, with a growing customer base in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector. The role:
This position is about as far removed from the average business development role as you can imagine – because it’s that much more entrepreneurial, dynamic and exciting than anything else on the market. This clients innovative products are one-of-a-kind, particularly as they work directly with their customers to anticipate their future needs. You will be central to this challenge as you work with your life sciences clients to understand the challenges that they face, identifying SaaS (software as a service) opportunities for revenue generation and securing relationships that will continue to grow and develop. Working in partnership with the client services team from first leads through to the development of fruitful working relationships, you will grow both existing and potential accounts, presenting solutions that will address their business needs and goals – and vitally, you will have the know-how to seal the deal.


You’ll need:
• Experience of selling into R&D, commercial or medical affairs clients (pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices). This
experience could be gained in a pure business development or client services environment.
• Knockout consultative selling skills, without ever being pushy. You don’t just meet your targets – you set records for others to
try and beat.
• To understand the word ‘accountability’. At this organisation, the team work transparently, they support each other, and they
stand up for what they believe in – so you’ll need to be ready to take ownership of your decisions.
• Blow-them-away partnership and collaboration skills. This is an organisation where team-playing capabilities are essential.

includes having the flexibility to travel according to the needs of your clients and the creativity to imagine their future potential.
