Medical Affairs Manager – Berkshire- international Pharmaceutical company!

We are delighted to be partnering with a global Pharmaceutical company who focus their passion and energy on ensuring that patients have access to innovative products and medical devices in their key therapy areas of mental health, endocrinology, nephrology and oncology.

They are currently looking for a Medical Affairs Manager to provide operational management and leadership to the Medical Affairs team and ensure that team activities meet objectives of both internal and external customers.

The Medical Affairs Manager responsibilities will include:

* Leading, developing and managing the Medical Affairs Team, including setting new objectives, reviewing progress and performance
* Selecting, recruiting and retaining high calibre staff
* Ensuring the team provides accurate and non-promotional information relating to unlicensed products and indications following customer requests
* Ensuring the team works closely with the Market Access team to provide appropriate support for formulary and guidelines inclusions
* Keeping the wider business fully informed of the team’s activities and progress while ensuring that activities of the team meet agreed business objectives
* Ensuring that the team develops long-term professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to develop advocacy for company molecules
* Ensuring the team meets or exceeds the local regulations in all activities particularly with regard to interactions with healthcare professionals and patients

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

* Solid and demonstrable experience in Medical Affairs with managerial experience
* An excellent understanding of the changing UK healthcare environment
* A GMC registered Medical Doctor, GPhC registered Pharmacist or PHD-level Scientist with appropriate therapy-related research background
* Demonstrable ability to develop business plans, manage budgets and analyse information in detail to constructively solve problems
