This is a fantastic opportunity to join this leading medical communications agency as an Editorial Assistant. They are at an exciting period of growth.

Role Purpose

• Editing and proofing content of medical education materials, including but not limited to: slide decks, patient and HCP materials, digital media (websites, webinars), meeting materials (agendas, invitations, delegate booklets), advisory board reports and publications (supplements/reviews)
• Preparing medical education materials for Client compliance processes
• Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of materials in accordance with agency, Client and industry standards.
Capabilities
- Clear understanding of the Zinc approval processes for each Client
- Clear understanding of the need to reference materials with primary supporting data and clinical studies
- Strong capability for editing and proofing medical education materials to ensure consistent format and language
- Ability to adapt editing principles to differing Client demands
- Understanding the development process for medical education materials, including industry standards for working with external speakers/authors and internal review and approval processes (ABPI requirements including medical review, Zinc etc.)
- Attendance at project planning meetings
Project delivery
- Responsible for content editing, proofing, Zinc approval processes (from uploading through to final approval) and editorial quality of assigned projects
- Work to agreed project timelines – proactive communication to programme leads to advise on any change in plan (including when projects are delayed in Zinc)
- Regularly review and update project progress with team
- Ensure all materials are edited for clear presentation, data accuracy, accurate referencing, clarity and consistency of language
- Ensure that all materials meet Agency and Client quality standards
Internal liaison
- Attendance at internal planning and briefing meetings
Project and financial management
- Familiarity with agreed project specification and budget/hours allocated to editing/approval tasks
- Inform team of any areas of potential over-spend/increase in hours required for delivery
