The role:
With the overall aim of establishing, supporting and developing partnerships between healthcare, industry and research, you will bring stakeholders together to overcome complex heath problems. The success of the team depends on the organisation’s ability to communicate their strategic purpose to a wide range of groups including patients, the public and investors, plus organisations including the NHS, academia, industry and the media. As a strategic advisor to the senior management team, you will drive pally collaboration between these groups, ensuring everyone is on the same page and helping these partners see how their contribution will deliver tangible results – results that could benefit the entire nation! Which is a pretty impressive aim to be working towards. You will do this is as a member of the integrated communications, engagement and marketing team, supporting their media and events capabilities and transforming all technical content. Raising awareness of the organisation’s services and expertise, and you will see to it that your insight into each stakeholder group is being used to grab every opportunity by the lapels. And, y’know, deliver knockout engagement strategies and solutions. Whether assessing stakeholder interests, devising partner management plans, or sharing your knowledge to upskill the team, it’s not an exaggeration to say that this is the most fantastically interesting role.

You will:
• Be a communications pro.
• Have at least five years of solid experience in developing and implementing strategies that have driven change in a multi-
stakeholder environment.
• Know how to navigate the needs of complex, political organisations and groups.
• Have nifty stakeholder mapping and management skills.
• Be clever. Ideally you’ll have A Levels and a degree or a professional qualification. All topped off with certified membership of
a professional body such as CIPR.
• Be an all-round brilliant person. Influential and charismatic, you’ll know how to talk people into your way of thinking.
• Have a good awareness of the relevant codes of practice (e.g. ABPI, ABHI) and industry regulations.
