The role:

Deputising for the Director of Communications, Engagement and Marketing, you will help the team connect with and build collaboration with local, regional and national organisations and groups. Playing a vital role in transforming the team’s technical content and enhancing their channel capabilities, you will see to it that meaningful internal and external communications are being created – all succinctly tailored to the target audience, and neatly aligned with key corporate messages. If you like thinking on your toes, then you’ll be right at home here, as you’ll be supporting both reactive and proactive communications for the commercial and projects team – so you’re guaranteed a fast-paced working day. From crisis management and researching media opportunities to devising digital communications, planning campaigns and supporting junior colleagues in delivering communications programmes, this is a multi-layered and frankly dazzling little number that will catapult your future career prospects through the roof.

You will:
• Have at least 10 years of strategic communications experience in the health and Pharma space
• Be competent in data and regulatory milestones.
• Have experience in disease awareness and patient activation initiatives in partnership with community stakeholders
• Be fun and a great communicator – while never losing your meticulous eye for detail.
• Have the capacity to support commercial propositions, so you will understand the intricacies of new business pitches.
• Know how to translate scientific concepts into something that a multitude of audiences can understand.
• Have experience of supporting the design and delivery of change in a complex and political environment.
• Be a clever-clogs. A-levels and a degree (or a professional qualification) will be needed, plus you’ll be a certified member of a
professional body such as CIPR.
• Know the NHS and innovators business – plus your awareness of healthcare trends will be the icing on the cake.
• Know how to secure the best media coverage.
