Exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven hands-on General Manager with strong client management skills to join an expanding business and grow the team.

The ideal candidate will have good management/leadership skills, strong qualitative and quantitative experience plus solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical and international/European healthcare industry.

Job Description
The General Manager position is a full time permanent role, based in our new office in the City of London (near Bank station) with occasional overseas travel required. The General Manager will report directly to the CEO, and will manage an account team consisting of one or 2 Market Research Executives +/- Research Director. Within our matrix structure, the GM will also manage all project teams for the projects he / she will be managing.

It is expected that if all targets are met, this position will naturally develop into the role of Managing Director of the UK office within 1 year, with the responsibility of managing the entire UK team, operations, and market development.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Business Development and revenue generation to target sales and margins
• Project proposals and budgets
• Hands on management of won projects with strong involvement alongside the Research Director from conception through to delivery
• Client management and interface
• Working with the group CEO on the vision and ensuing objectives for the UK arm and ensuring its success
• Recruitment of new staff
• Training and development of new team
• Coordination with the other Genactis offices and project teams
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of healthcare and client compliance guidelines, regulatory issues and operating procedures and ensure adherence at all times.

• Good management and leadership skills
• Strong quantitative and qualitative experience,
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical and international healthcare industry
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to closely interact with high level clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech market.
• Perfect English language skills, both written and oral
• Proven experience in client management and business development
• Good budget and financial skills

Educational Background
• a science/life sciences degree or relevant Masters
• a business/marketing research qualification could be an advantage – MBA a plus
• 3+ years’ experience in the pharma industry (agency)
