If you have worked as a journalist you are likely to have a skill set which lends itself well to working in the recruitment industry: persuasive communications skills, networking, interviewing, researching and putting all the pieces together. If as well as all these, you have the desire to make some serious money, we want to hear from you!

We are one of the longest established, media recruitment agencies, with a track record of more than 20 years, our consultants are the best in the industry and known for the delivery of top quality service. We encourage our staff to inject their own personalities into their work and see everyone as an individual rather than having the strict micro management/KPI approach of some of the bigger recruitment consultancies.

The healthcare communications desk is one of the busiest in the agency and led by an ex-journalist. Our reputation means we receive a lot of word of mouth recommendations from candidates and clients, so we are now looking to appoint a new recruitment consultant to help us build on the vast portfolio of existing business and to explore new areas.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the recruitment consultant:

- Focusing on the pharmaceutical market – our clients include healthcare PR, healthcare advertising and medical communications agencies, pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare organisations.
- 360 degree recruitment, seeing the recruitment process through from taking a brief through to sourcing and placing candidates
- New business development and networking at industry events
- Headhunting, building and maintaining relationships with healthcare communications professionals.
- Hitting revenue targets – our experienced consultants can average £25K – £30K upwards per month.
- Contributing to the wider company’s strategy and growth – future managerial opportunities exist for talented individuals.

The successful recruitment consultant must possess the following:

- Either a strong background in recruiting or journalism
- Excellent written communications skills – you can write a persuasive argument and advertising copy that gets results.
- A professional, long-term outlook and ability to maintain long-term client and candidate relationships.
- The ability to see the bigger picture and talk intelligently to clients about their business and candidates about their careers.
- A sense of ownership of your work – our consultants tend to become the leading recruiters for their specific sectors.
