Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Editor to join their team in their offices in Surrey. Working with medical writers, your role will be to ensure that content and production materials developed are clear, concise, and accurate in terms of both language and scientific content, and that they are delivered on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong medical editing skills across a range of materials
  • Ensure the accuracy of all information, data and referencing for the projects you work on
  • Develop print production and multimedia projects
  • Adhere to time and budget guidelines given by the Project Lead, keeping them updated with any alterations from the schedule
  • Build familiarity with client products and requirements, therapy areas, and portfolio
  • Develop understanding of industry codes of practice / legislation
  • Develop and maintain account-specific style sheets where required to assist the account teams in meeting client requirements
  • Assist with the development of proposals and pitches

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Life science degree
  • Experience of medical editing gained within a medical education or healthcare communications agency environment
  • A high standard of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
  • Good team worker, able to work effectively with others to achieve a shared goal
  • Able to plan workload, prioritise and assess required resourcing
  • Actively seek opportunities for self-development and apply new skills and knowledge to continuously improve performance
  • Have a strong work ethic and be motivated to take ownership of assigned projects
