For our New York offices, we are looking for a highly organised, cool-headed and proactive Account Director with proven agency experience.

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for the management of a large variety of exciting accounts across a fast-paced, highly-regulated industry. It is essential that you have the organisational skills to successfully oversee every aspect within a waterfall or agile methodology, including risk management and stakeholder management. You are accomplished in fostering strong and durable client relationships.

Functioning as a key member of the Management Team, the Account Director contributes to strategic and business planning for the company. In addition, the Account Director has acumen for identifying new business opportunities with existing accounts.

Responsibility
- Contribute to strategic and business planning for the company
- Manage multiple client accounts
- Lead account teams in planning, initiation, and execution (in partnership with the Scientific and Creative lead)
- Ability to turn current clients into growth accounts via proactive proposals and recommendations
- Identify new business opportunities
- Assist in the development of proposals based on client briefs
- Manage financials across projects and clients
- Manage direct reports (Account Mangers and Project Managers)

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of account management experience in medical communications, life sciences, or marketing environments
- Significant experience in professional client relationship management
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Expert understanding of medical communications
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

- Natural talent for orchestrating multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish a goal; has an internal drive to get things done
- Demonstrate a clear ability to guide other team members
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients

- Cool-headed; ability to work under pressure and keeping up the spirit during busy times
- Willing to travel to client meetings and medical congresses
- Accurate and detail-oriented working style with a high degree of integrity, tact and confidentiality
