SSR is working on two exciting opportunities, looking for both a Business Development Executive and Business Development Manager to join a dynamic healthcare market research agency in central London.


The primary focus of these roles will be to champion new business, developing meaningful relationships with established, previous and new clients.


The ideal candidates will be engaging, enigmatic and proactive individuals with strong backgrounds in new business or sales roles, ready to take the next step in their career. This role may also suit a driven Account Executive or Account Manager and does not require a healthcare background.


Key Responsibilities:
• To ‘cold contact’ new targets with a view to developing long-term business relationships
• Work with Business Development Manager/ Head of Business Development to create a list of 50 pharmaceutical / healthcare companies the agency is not currently working with
• Identify initiators and decision makers of market research projects
• Obtain an understanding of projects they are planning for the current business year
• Secure appointments to pitch for this business
• Expected, after a period of time, to pitch directly for business
• Work alongside designated teams to develop and deliver targeted marketing campaigns throughout the year (on average
2-4 per year) to;
-create market presence
-promote the agency's offerings
-secure meetings for business pitches
• Record all activities in CRM system
• Meet specified targets of revenue and new clients


Key Experience:
• The successful candidate does not require a degree
• Experience in a business development, telesales or account handling role
• Can demonstrate a track record of successfully and continuously setting appointments over the phone or meeting sales targets
• Understanding of planning and delivering marketing campaigns
• Market research experience is beneficial but not essential


Salary:
Business Development Executive up to £25K (plus commission up to £20K)
Business Development Manager up to £45K (plus commission up to £20K)
