Medical communications agency seeks principal medical writer to lead on developing science based content for a range of medical communications projects, meeting the clients’ brief and providing scientific advice and consultancy. This role is as a result of significant new business and will be based in their Oxford offices, with the potential to work remotely some of the time.

The principal medical writer‘s role:-

• Leading the team in understanding pharmaceutical clients’ strategic objectives for their products.
• The work is pan European and global across a range of projects such as pub planning, KOL planning, ad boards, meetings, ad boards, symposia, webinars etc.
• You will be writing manuscripts, posters, abstracts, science based content for meetings related materials, product/disease messages, publications plans
• Continue to keep abreast of medical communications standards e.g., good publications practise and ABPI guidelines.

The ideal principal medical writer will:-

• Be able to hit the ground running with medical communication agency experience - meeting and events materials being the main focus.
• Will be an established senior medical writer, used to working on international business and looking for better work/life balance and quality of life
• Able to sense check freelancers’ work and that produces by colleagues in a diplomatic manner
• Be familiar with country specific pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
