Are you a Senior Account Manager looking for a step up? Hanson Search is working in partnership with an independent multi-practice communications agency who are looking for an Account Director to bolster their growing Healthcare Communications Team.

My client has grown to circa 100 people across offices in London, Dublin, Brussels and Dubai. This agency has a long-standing reputation in the market for providing expert c-suite communications campaigns across Healthcare, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Digital. In the last 18 months, the healthcare practice has evolved into the most successful offering within the wider business, working with some of the biggest names in pharma as well as working with innovative health-tech business, charities and healthcare providers.

As Account Director you will be responsible for providing c-suite client counsel across 2-3 pharma accounts in either fertility, neuroscience, oncology and immunology. You will work closely with the team leads to drive new business, lead accounts and manage either an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive.
The ideal candidate will come from a communications agency background with significant experience working in ethical healthcare communications across any therapy area.

Responsibilities:

• Lead client relations across 2-3 accounts
• Develop and implement innovative communications strategies across accounts
• Provide c-suite client counsel across accounts
• New business strategy and leading on pitching
• Line management of one junior team member
• Stakeholder engagement and outreach

Requirements:

• Experience working within a communications agency across a range of different healthcare RX (ethical) communication accounts
• Proven track record of leading client accounts
• Successful new business or organic growth
• Demonstrable leadership qualities and experience in managing or mentoring junior team members
• Strong understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical industry
• Digitally savvy with experience utilising social media platforms as a part of a communications strategy
