MMC Scientific (part of Radcliffe Group) are looking for an ambitious and proactive individual to join us as Senior Account Manager, supporting our fast-growing and exciting team. We are a collection of small successful companies working together to provide first-class education to medical professionals via our publishing and communications expertise. As a growing business, there are opportunities to work across all Radcliffe Group divisions and develop into a leadership role.
The overall responsibility of Senior Account Manager (SAM) is to lead on the scientific, content and creative development of a series of medical education projects including publications, events and digital education for our pharmaceutical and medical device client base.
Project management:
• Champion of processes and working practices
• Manage both in-house and freelance staff resource for the delivery of projects incl. medical writing, design, editorial and web
development
• Develop and manage a schedule for all client-supported projects, in association with editorial teams
• Ensure project team outputs are of the highest standards
• Capable of overseeing a range of educational materials and running different projects at the same time
Strategy:
• Uses strategic insight to help shape communications programmes
• Uses knowledge of compliance to effectively manage and advise on client projects
• Takes briefs directly from clients and ensures all client expectations are met
• Join discussions relating to assigned account/projects, at both a tactical and strategic level, with clients, thought leaders and internal
colleagues
• Work closely with sales staff to identify new business opportunities
• Drive proposal development, collaborating with other senior team members to win new business
Qualifications/skills:
• Relevant healthcare, agency or client-side experience (desired)
• Life Sciences degree (preferred)
• Event and/or faculty management (preferred)
• Knowledge of use of Powerpoint, Word, Excel and other programmes
• Experience of planning for workloads, budgets and project schedules
• Easily adapts to different client situations and able to identify and provide solutions to problems
• Experience dealing with clients/customers and maintaining and developing relationships with these contacts
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• High level of written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of compliance best practice
• Excellent team worker
• Contributes to a dynamic work environment
