The role:
Taking on the challenge of establishing the new media planning arm, this is a role that you can mould however you see fit. Obviously your first remit will be to enhance the already hugely successful arms of the agency’s consumer and media business, working alongside them to complement their impressive work. Tapping into their existing clients, you will identify ways in which you can improve the work the agency does with these big brands, securing better deals on their behalf and ultimately generating even better customer satisfaction – and a new line of income for the agency. Your second remit will be to use your own industry experience and contacts to identify upcoming opportunities with new clients, pitching for and winning business. As the first into this new department, your third remit will be to build your team from scratch, identifying those who have the potential to add value to the business and nurturing their talents. And your final remit will be to have fun – lots of it – with a team of truly likeminded colleagues who can’t wait to have you on board.

You’ll need:
• MD level experience (or deputy MD, but with the drive to step up to this huge challenge), with experience of leading a large
piece of business in a healthcare communications environment.
• Encyclopaedic knowledge of media planning and buying.
• Bucket-loads of industry know-how with a fat contacts book.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a passion for developing people.
• To be a pitch pro. Your track record of winning new business will be embarrassingly outrageous.
• Great writing and presenting skills.
• The ability to think laterally. This is a role that you can shape and define as you go along, so you’ll need plenty of flexibility
with the confidence to pursue your vision.
