Our client is a multi-award winning team of 180 based in central London. The client is an integrated, digital and direct marketing agency.
They are looking for a senior interaction designer with proven commercial experience preferably designing within the pharma and healthcare sector. You should have a love for graphic design, typography and the pixel is essential. You will have a natural instinct for user behaviour and what 'feels right' across devices. A fundamental understanding and curiosity about coding is a big advantage.

The role will involve a balance of digital production and the delivery of pixel perfect designs for healthcare communications. The role also offers the candidate the opportunity to produce conceptual design.

Responsibilities

Working as a member of the interaction design team to answer creative briefs with design that is bold, brave and beautiful, aiming to produce the best in class and best in practice.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:
• Experience designing for digital channels (i.e. Email, web and mobile), delivering fully responsive campaigns based on Brand Identity guidelines or under direction from an Art Director
• Experience working with a wide variety of design styles from corporate B2B through consumer targeting a diverse range of audiences and ages.
• Solid understanding of technical constraints governing the development and implementation of creative assets across platforms (mobile/smartphone, tablet, laptop and desktop)
• Good understanding of Accessibility best practice and implementation
• Strong grasp of both digital and print processes needed to implement Graphic Design work
• Competent client presentation skills may also be required when talking clients through design work
• Great eye for graphic design and Cutting edge design skills
• The ability to design across a wide range of digital channels
• Desire to present your designs to colleagues
• Strong Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite skills
• Comprehensive experience developing designs for static, interactive and motion experiences across the Adobe Creative Suite
• Some experience of implementing Actionscript (ideally AS3)
• Fundamental understanding of code
• Be curious about all aspects of interaction design
• Experience designing for print

Desirable:
• Banner advertising experience
• Video editing and motion graphics skills, e.g. Adobe After Effects & Premier
• SLR Photography and Filming
• 2D compositing / Re-touching
• 3D modelling & animation, e.g. Cinema4D
• Illustration skills most certainly an advantage but not mandatory

Role Breakdown

Briefing
You will liaise with the Creative Director, Interaction Design Director, fellow interaction designers, UX designers and technologists, along with account teams to take creative and design briefs. Bringing in fresh eyes and new approaches to the ever-expanding world of interaction design with a user centered design approach.

Conceptualisation
You will work with the Digital Creative Director and Interaction Design Director to conceptualise ideas, maintaining the creative standards of the agency and its clients. You will be confident that your designs will fit the brief, but also challenge clients and question their own ideas to come up with more innovative solutions.

Production
You will liaise with technologists, UX and other interaction designers to ensure your ideas are fully realised through all stages of production. Collaboration with developers and others with overlapping skillsets is essential to bringing your designs to life.

Development
You will discuss design within the team and be prepared to talk your ideas through with clients. You’ll also be happy to make amendments where necessary based on client feedback. A sense of truly ‘owning’ the design from conception to delivery is key.

Relationship Building
You will be comfortable building friendly working relationships with clients, account handlers and your creative department. You’ll understand your clients’ needs and be prepared to listen and take on-board their feedback and requests.

Research/Product knowledge
Keep up to date with all that is excellent, awesome, inspiring, beautiful and fantastical.
