Maternity cover - Executive Director: Medical Education
London

So you’re a healthcare communications whizz? You’re not just good at what you do – you’re knee-knockingly brilliant? Then welcome to the best career move you’ll ever make. This is an agency that is big in scale, but small in mentality – and their Healthcare Education division is no different. Based around the goal of shaping healthcare comms that will make a difference, they devise the types of solutions that generate honest-to-goodness results. Now here’s the icing on the cake – this is a role that incorporates a great deal of flexibility. The agency are open to you joining them on a Fixed Term Contract, or you could opt to remain freelance, accepting a year-long day-rate. Furthermore, there is scope to work a three-day week, though if you could manage 4 days in the office that would be preferred. And let’s also give a nod to the impressive flexible wellbeing benefits, a weekly bar and a birthday lie-in (presumably to help you recover from the weekly bar!) Which makes it just about the nicest role on the market for anyone who is looking for a bit of bendiness. And who can blame you? Freedom is just so darned nice…

The role:
Heading up the Medical Education division, this senior management role will see you taking an already brilliant division and really running with it. Leading the strategic direction of the team, you will oversee the overall capacity of the division, identifying emerging talent and ensuring every skillset is being utilised and developed. With a sharp focus on meeting – and exceeding – the clients’ expectations, you will manage the delivery of key accounts, nailing problems with your innovative solutions. Crucially, you will also be a new business hound. From spotting an emerging opportunity in the field to blowing their competitors out of the water in a pitch process, you will convert great ideas into on-point campaigns. Quite simply, you’ll create business opportunities with existing clients and bring in prospective leads, generating the type of revenue that has made this agency such a force to be reckoned with. Simples!

You’ll need:
• Plenty of strategic expertise in a healthcare communications agency, with great account management capabilities.
• The ability to identify business opportunities – and seal the deal. Which also means you’ll be comfortable in a pitch scenario.
• Impressive business and financial acumen – you’ll need to know your way around the delights of a P&L sheet.
• To be a natural leader. The type of boss that everyone secretly (or not so secretly) worships. Which naturally means your
people management skills will be tip-top.
• A sixth sense about the industry. Think you can identify the next big trend or opportunity in MedEd? Then you’ll be right at
home here.
• To be an all-out brilliant networker.
