Director – Head of Public Affairs

The role:
This is a newly-created role – and with it comes the opportunity to define how our client shapes and evolves this exciting arena. Quite simply, the Public and Government healthcare field is traditionally dominated by independent agencies. That’s something that they want to reverse. Their clients are industry-leading brands, and they need to think holistically about how best to turn out tangible results on a global scale. And with you on board, they’ll do just that. You will think across both markets and disciplines, ensuring your brands have a clear strategy, and that they understand how public policy is influenced in a modern world. You will be their go-to person to clarify and explore their future capabilities. Working alongside the PR team, you will support one another while also drawing clear boundaries. You will build new business opportunities and grow current clients, ensuring every avenue is explored and every possibility is satisfied. You will know the right people to talk to, your capacity to integrate emerging technologies into client solutions will prove invaluable and your ability to identify and tackle changes in the clients’ marketplaces will ensure you become their strategic guru. In short, your knowledge of the healthcare industry will make you an essential part of this dynamic team.

You’ll need:
• To be a strategic leader, with great people management and mentorship capabilities.
• Associate Director or Director level experience in a PR or PA environment, with hands-on knowledge of working with
pharmaceutical clients.
• The capacity to juggle multiple PA accounts, with proven experience in the field.
• Incredible, blow-them-out-of-the-water networking and communication skills, plus fantastic presentation capabilities.
• An up-to-date knowledge of healthcare trends and the general pharmaceutical marketplace.
• Good financial and business acumen.
• To be a proper clever clogs with a University degree. If you also happen to have an advanced degree or a professional
qualification, that would be even better.
