Director – Healthcare Policy, Communications and Public Affairs

Director – Healthcare Policy, Communications and Public Affairs
London

When an agency can honestly boast that their expertise spans from PR to public policy, you know you’re backing a winning horse. A thoroughbred in fact. One that won’t just take you over the finishing line – but will make sure you’re on the winner’s podium. Ok, enough with the horse analogies. The simple fact is this – this strategic communications agency is spectacular. With an indecently delightful array of clients that includes big pharma, biotech, charity and consumer health companies, their innovative approach to translating complex health challenges into evidence-based programmes is simply marvellous. And as they cover all elements such as medical education, market access, health policy and health communications, it’s no wonder that their global clients (including industry-leading health and life sciences companies, patient organisations and professional bodies) adore them too. So what can you expect when you join them? Plenty… from pub nights and parties (bring your dancing shoes) to quarterly offsites, discounted gym membership and charity partnerships (bring your conscience), this is a team where you’ll benefit from all the best things in life – which probably explains why they’ve been in The Sunday Times ‘Best Company To Work For Top 100’ for the last eight years.

The role
Let’s not beat about the bush here: it’s nice to be on the winning team. And when you get involved in this organisation – that just happens to be bursting at the seams with industry-awards – you’ll definitely have that winning feeling. Having enjoyed a consistent level of growth, they’re actively chasing their next period of expansion, so they’re looking for a go-getter to oversee their progressive brands, campaigns and causes – and grow the team accordingly. Ensuring the organisation maintains pace with new business generation, you will identify opportunities to pursue revenue and you will define the strategic development of the agency. The role has a strong client engagement angle, so you will get directly involved in every project, overseeing the full account delivery team and managing their day-to-day activities. With the capacity to use data to generate clever-clogs hypotheses and an exceptional grasp of how social media can catapult a campaign to dizzying heights, you’ll lead, inspire and motivate. Easy peasy.

You will:
• Have a knockout understanding of health communications – what’s good, what’s not good and what will be big news in the future.
• Have an exceptional knowledge of the health policy environment.
• Enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into a challenge. If you’re work-shy, then keep on walking…
• Be a schmoozer (but without being slimy). Your networking skills will need to be top-notch – as will your client-handling
capabilities.
• Be an all-round brilliant person. Someone the team will look up to, the clients will love, and colleagues will respect.
• Love a spot of free breakfast. Because it’ll be up for grabs every day, and it’s a shame to waste good food. Oh, and there are
lots of other benefits too…
