Group Communications Manager – Healthcare Technology

Our client is best described as a digital platform with big ambitions. Using clinical technology to support the accessibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare provision, they were founded three years ago with the overall goal of helping GP surgeries manage the demand for their services – helping patients with their primary care experience in the process. And by heck, they’ve witnessed spectacular levels of success, reaching 10million patients. 10million in a mere three years! But now they’re hungry for more, and they’re aiming to create a sales pipeline of 500million patients within the next ten years. We’ll let you do the maths, but that’s a lot of patients to connect with – and a lot of fun to be had in the process. And fun is definitely on the agenda with this cheerful bunch. The role:
Contributing to every element of the overall communications and marketing strategy, you will report directly to the CMO as you co-create a visionary press and public affairs strategy to target your desired audience. This is a multi-layered role in which you will roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the juiciest of projects, so you will do everything from building relationships with key journalists and managing external creative agencies, to working with the sales team to identify and exploit innovative news angles. You’ll up the ante on their social media channels too, shaping creative press campaigns, developing thought leadership openings and seeking out awards opportunities to ensure the brand are standing out in a competitive marketplace. Fast-paced and varied, this is a role in which you can make your mark – because if you can help them connect with the additional 490million customers that they’re seeking, then you’ll have a lot to shout about.

You will:
• Have a good dollop of communications and PR experience (either in-house or for a leading agency).
• Be the bees knees at planning and running media campaigns and events.
• Be able to identify thought leadership opportunities from ten paces back.
• Be a news guru, with the content creation skills to back it up – plus the social media know-how to ensure every brilliant idea is
out there for the world to see.
• Have a bachelor’s degree.
• Really love the healthcare industry. Obv. If you don’t, then this isn’t the role for you!
• Be money-savvy, with the capacity to manage budgets and track KPIs.
• Have top-notch stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with some seriously senior people in the industry.
• Have plenty of ambition, backed up plenty of creativity. You’ll also be a flexible, well-rounded, culturally-adept team-player.
