Associate Director, Commercial Project Management & Launch excellence Europe
Biotechnology – Maidenhead

Integrity. Intelligence. Innovation. Inclusivity. These are the core values that make up our client’s business – so you can be sure you’ll be working with a thoroughly decent bunch of people when you join them. They’re also knee-knockingly clever, as they’re developing cutting-edge therapies and treatments to improve the daily functioning of people with rare diseases and disorders that affect the central nervous system. In other words, each and every member of their team is downright brilliant. And who doesn’t want to work with brilliant people?! Committed to delivering exceptional results to their patients and the professionals who rely on their big brains, they employ the best in the field – people who share their passion for working as a team to create modern-day miracles. So pull up your big boy/big girl pants, and prepare to be blown away by the sheer fantastic marvelousness of working with people who aren’t just good at their jobs – they’re world-leading.

The role:
Fancy getting chucked in at the deep end? It’s fun, isn’t it? Particularly when your first major challenge will be to oversee the timeline and deliverables of the commercial launch of an epilepsy drug in multiple countries. Yes, MULTIPLE countries. So prepare to be swept off your feet by the sheer adrenalin rush that comes with such a mission, because it will be nothing short of career-defining. And that won’t be all you’re doing – because you will also be planning and managing various projects that span functions ranging from marketing and sales, to operations, medical affairs and manufacturing, plus you’ll be supporting projects stemming from the US office. So this is a truly multi-layered, international role that will be busy, busy, busy. Using your pharmaceutical development expertise to ensure projects maintain pace, you will identify potential risks – and have contingency plans ready to go at the drop of a hat. Your comprehensive EU launch planning calendar will be imprinted on your brain, and your capacity to gently (but firmly) nudge people into action on cross-regional initiatives will prove invaluable to this ambitious team.

You will:
• Have exceptional project management know-how in gained within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector (at least five years of
experience would be nice).
• Have a definitive knowledge of the EU launch and commercialisation process – it would be even better if you have practical
experience of launching a drug.
• Know what a launch readiness dashboard is – and be adept at mapping key activities and functional milestones. So it goes
without saying that you will be fluent in MS Project, various spreadsheet tools, Gauntt charts, PowerPoint and everything else
that goes hand-in-hand with being a stonking Project Manager.
• Have a degree in a relevant scientific discipline – you clever thing.
• Be organised. Really, truly, insanely organised. And you’ll love deadlines.
• Love to present to an audience – so you’ll be a great networker, influencer, team-builder and all-round ace person to boot.
• Enjoy the occasional trip to Europe (2-4 days per month) and the U.S.A (2-4 times per year).
