Director – Healthcare PR

The role:
As Director of the Public Relations team, you’ll be at the helm of some frankly gobsmacking internal and external PR solutions for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. One of those clients is passionate about diabetes, and more will be added to your remit in due course. So what will you be doing, other than being your general fabulous self? Quite simply, you’ll be the go-to person for a range of Communications Directors, Product Managers, marketing departments and specialist patient groups – because while you will be the all-knowing PR guru who is overseeing client satisfaction, you’ll also see to it that you’re helping clients meet their business objectives. If they’re not at the heart of a PR storm that is translating into innovative business results, you won’t rest until they are. And while you’ll be happy to roll your sleeves up and get thoroughly stuck in with the clients and the nitty gritty of their campaigns, you’ll also work at a leadership level with the MD to set overall objectives for the team. You’ll seek out business opportunities. You’ll offer commercial, scientific and strategic expertise to multiple clients. You’ll have vision and creativity by the bucket-load. And you’ll see to it that all team members aren’t just motivated and coming up to scratch – they’re talk-of-the-town brilliant.

You will:
• Have extensive global healthcare PR experience.
• Love to talk… and write, listen and present.
• Be super flexible, with a real team-player spirit.
• Be the type of leader that clients and colleagues openly adore. Think on the scale of ‘hero worship’.
• Have organisation skills that are terrifyingly brilliant – with a sharp eye for detail.
• Have the common sense required to balance strategic thinking with plan execution. Obv.
• Be financially and commercially-minded.
• Be a bit of a brain box. You’ll need to be degree-educated and you’ll have a knockout knowledge of pharma regulations
(ABPI) too.
