Our client is a well-established international medical communications agency which is seeking an experienced medical writer to join their team in Cheshire, Brighton, London, Oxford or work remotely.

Our client partners with global pharmaceutical and healthcare clients to develop and deliver medical communications including strategic consultancy, scientific engagement, publications, market access and opinion leader consultancy.

You will research, write, edit and prepare high-quality materials for a variety of projects and be responsible for ensuring that materials are created according to the brief and that they meet the client’s agreed objectives.

The company has a broad client list with opportunities to work across a variety of accounts and therapy areas within their medical communications team. They are recognised for their creative work and you will be working within a supportive and friendly environment where both personal and professional development and advancement is nurtured.

In addition to an excellent salary, you can expect a benefits package including 25 days’ holiday each year rising with service to 30 days, pension, life insurance, private medical and bonus. They are also open to the flexibility of home working, with the possibility of being fully remote for more experienced candidates.


  • Write and edit diverse materials in accordance with the client’s aims
  • Liaise with clients, authors and colleagues to progress projects effectively and efficiently
  • Work as a key member of the project team to ensure projects are delivered to time, quality and budget
  • Review and error read content developed by other team members for quality control and providing constructive feeding back clearly
  • Attend project briefing meetings, and provide good briefings to internal teams as required
  • Provide guidance and direction to less-experienced writers in the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably MSc or PhD
  • Previous medical communications agency writing experience including: abstracts, primary and review articles, monographs, sales aids, slide kits etc.
  • Have experience across a range of therapy areas and projects
  • Good team player
