New Business Director, London – Healthcare Marketing and Communications
London

Some people love a teensy bespoke agency. One where everyone knows everyone’s business, and it’s entirely possible that there are some office babies. But some people love the thrill of a worldwide giant with oodles of employees, massive networking opportunities, dirty great awards cabinets and more resources than you can shake a coconut at. Well get your coconuts ready people, because this agency absolutely 100% falls into the latter category. With 60 offices spread across 20 countries and 6 continents, they are unashamedly whopping. And oh what a whopper they are. Their clients are equally big, and their ambitions are even bigger. Which is where you come into the picture…

The role:
This role is all about growth. You making it happen, obviously. You’ll look for opportunities for both new and organic business, working with prospective clients, long-time favourites and those who have slightly fallen off the radar to identify openings and turn them into tangible revenue-making opportunities. Becoming an expert in the needs of your clients (and your future clients), you will be one step ahead of them in anticipating what will elevate their brands – so you will be at the forefront of developing services within the agency. Selling both your new concepts and existing products, your remit will include everything from leading proposals and pitches to managing issues. You’ll be respected for your creative approach to generating ideas and developing partnerships, and you will deliver an integrated approach to growing new business across North Europe by working in cahoots with the Paris and London offices, and the Consulting side of the business. So in a nutshell, you’ll do everything the job title suggests – you’ll direct new business. It suddenly seems so obvious, doesn’t it?!

You will:
• Come from an advertising or medical marketing agency background, with at least 8 to 10 years of experience – a minimum of
3 of those years will have been in business development.
• Be ambitious. For the agency, for the clients, for your colleagues and for yourself. If you can think big, then you’ll fit right in.
• Have tip-top leadership skills, with the ability to encourage the team to be collaborative, creative and everything else that’s
good in the world.
• Be a client-lover. Someone who can win and retain their business, and anticipate what makes them tick.
• Be a really nice person. Someone that clients and colleagues will like, respect and want to do business with (and hang out
with).
• Have business acumen – if you don’t, then it’s a miracle you’ve got this far in reading this ad…
