Chief Digital Officer (CDO) – Europe – Digital Health

When you put 1,800 people together who are committed to generating life-changing ideas, you can feel pretty confident that you’re going to be part of an organisation that is buzzing with energy – proper, decent, humankind energy. That’s precisely what our client has done, and with a worldwide reach that includes 60 or so offices in 20 countries, the scope for your own personal development is sure to be pretty spectacular too. So what are they like to work for? Well, they’re the kind of people who are supportively competitive. They want to be the best – and they want their people to be the best too – which makes for a fun, progressive atmosphere. One where you’ll have the world quite literally at your fingertips. Ready for a challenge that’s quite unlike any other? Then read on…

The role:
Do you eat, sleep and breathe digital healthcare? Are you a digital evangelist who knows everything there is to know about the digital in pharma? Dammit, are you just about the most digitally-obsessed person out there? Then slam on your brakes cowboy/cowgirl, because your dream job is right here! This is a two-pronged role (and if we’re being honest, both prongs are equally tempting). First up, you will be vital in our client’s organisational transformation within European markets. They want to be at the helm of strategic digital development, creating a digital incubator to expand their digital capabilities – so you will create their digital strategy. Which is a whole lot of ‘digital’ in one sentence, but you get the gist – they want to be digitally cutting-edge, so you will drive a data-led culture, upskill the team and ensure their capabilities make them the natural choice for ambitious clients. And secondly, you’ll work with both their existing clients and new clients to establish the agency’s digital credentials. Specifically, you’ll put yourself out there to identify and secure new clients, drive growth and develop partnerships with academia, tech start-ups and commercial organisations. Sounds fun, right?

You will:
• Have a knockout knowledge of new and emerging technologies that could be integrated into clients’ work. So you’ll need to
have considerable experience of leading in commercial and digital strategies.
• Have proven experience of growing business in agency land – You must be a hunter!
• Be fluent in every conceivable platform related to digital healthcare – with the creativity to ensure fresh ideas are being
generated to benefit the clients. Which leads us swiftly onto the fact that you will have a downright brilliant understanding of
web analytics tools, analytics platforms and other forward-looking marketing assets.
• Be able to understand audiences, with experience of shaping consumer-centric insights and consumer journeys – meaning
you’ll have the know-how to bring digital health, patients, data and creative together into one happy family.
• Love people. Whether you’re working with colleagues, charming new clients or forming dynamic partnerships, you’ll be a
proper people person. This will include identifying capability gaps in the team – so you’ll be a great teacher and mentor too.
• Have a degree in a relevant subject – or just be really jolly good at putting compelling arguments together
