A leading healthcare communications agency is seeking an Account Director to join their team in either of their London, Cheshire or Oxfordshire offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a growing accounts team, providing strategic and developmental insight to the team, as well as securing new business for further growth. As Account Director you will manage the account team, oversee delivery and ensure the financial health of assigned accounts.

- Reviewing account projects, providing strategic input and overseeing the budget and project tracking systems
- Planning for account resources and operational requirements, authorising budgets and amending them as required
- Meeting with team line reports regularly and overseeing the development of the team
- Representing the agency at client meetings, driving new business and resolving concerns proactively
- Maintaining a current understanding of client needs and requirements, and their company policies and regulations
- Providing commercial input on new business opportunities and presenting proposals to potential clients

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Previous medcomms agency experience
- Background in the life sciences, ideally a life science degree
- Great communication skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Project management experience
- Experience with strategic planning in medcomms
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous mentoring or line management experience
